Who We Are

Sultan’s Wardrobes is a custom wardrobe business based in Moorebank NSW, operating across metropolitan Sydney since 2005.

We design, manufacture and install built-in wardrobes, walk-in wardrobes and wardrobe doors for homes, apartments and strata buildings. Every wardrobe is measured on site and made to that measurement. We don’t sell modular units, and we don’t subcontract the installation.

The business is owner-operated. The person who visits your home to measure is the person who quotes the job, and is there when it’s installed. For most of our customers that’s the reason they chose us over a larger company – there’s no salesperson in the middle, and nothing gets lost between the quote and the install.

We’ve been doing this for more than 20 years. In that time wardrobes have stayed the same job: get the measurements right, use hardware that lasts, and finish the work properly.

Meet Sultan

SULTAN KAHIL
Founder and Owner, Sultan’s Wardrobes

Sultan has worked in wardrobes and cabinetry for more than 20 years, starting out on the tools and building his experience through cabinetmaking, installation and custom joinery. He later established the business in Sydney, specialising in wardrobes because he saw the value in creating practical, made-to-measure storage designed around the way each family uses their home.

He personally attends every in-home measure, prepares every quote, and is on site for installation. Customers deal with Sultan directly rather than with a salesperson or call centre.

Sultan runs the business personally and remains involved in each job from the initial measure through to installation. For larger installations or when extra hands are needed, he works with a small number of trusted tradespeople who assist with delivery, installation and site work.

The Spaces We've Learned to Work In

Twenty years of Sydney homes means twenty years of walls that aren’t square. These are the conditions we work in regularly rather than treat as exceptions.

A wardrobe that fits a perfectly square opening is straightforward. The real skill is working with the rooms that aren’t.

Many Sydney homes, particularly older houses and terraces, have walls, floors and ceilings that are slightly out of level or out of square. Sultan accounts for those variations during the measure and makes the necessary adjustments on site so the finished wardrobe sits cleanly in the room and the doors remain straight and properly aligned.

It is the kind of detail that is rarely obvious in photographs, but makes a noticeable difference to the quality of the finished installation.

How We Build

MATERIALS

Cabinetry is built from 16-18mm high moisture resistant board with durable ABS edging, in melamine, coloured finishes or woodgrain, including Polytec and Laminex ranges.

Doors can be mirrored, glass, melamine, woodgrain or polyurethane depending on the system.

HARDWARE

We use Blum, Häfele and Hettich for hinges, runners and drawer systems. Soft-close hinges, door brakes and drawer systems are available as an upgrade rather than fitted as standard, so you’re only paying for them if you want them.

Hardware can also be customised, and if you’d prefer to supply your own we’ll fit it.

These are the timeframes we work to, not best-case figures. If something is going to take longer than this, we tell you before you approve the quote rather than afterwards.

Our 10-year warranty covers workmanship and wardrobe components. If something we installed fails within that period, Sultan comes back and deals with it – the same person who fitted it.
