Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to the use of our website and to all quotes, wardrobe designs, manufacturing and installation work provided by Sultan’s Wardrobes (Sultan’s Wardrobes Pty Ltd, ABN 33 669 961 504). By accepting a quote, you agree to these terms.
1. Measure and quote
1.1 We offer an in-home measure and quote appointment, usually within one week of your enquiry. The appointment generally takes 20 to 60 minutes.
1.2 We usually send your written quote within two business days. Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
1.3 Your quote is based on the measurements, wardrobe design, door type, internals, materials and hardware discussed at the appointment. Any price guide on our website is indicative only.
1.4 If you supply your own measurements instead of having us measure, you are responsible for their accuracy. Wardrobe components made to incorrect measurements you supplied may need to be remade at your cost.
2. Accepting your quote and payment
2.1 To proceed, you accept the quote in writing and pay a deposit of 30% of the quoted price.
2.2 We order materials and schedule manufacturing only after receiving your deposit.
2.3 The balance is due on completion of installation. Ownership of the wardrobe passes to you once full payment is received.
3. Design approval and variations
3.1 Before manufacturing, we confirm the final design with you, including the layout of hanging space, shelving, drawers, door configuration, finishes and hardware.
3.2 Changes requested after design approval are variations. We will confirm any change in price or timing before proceeding.
3.3 Once manufacturing has started, changes may not be possible, or may incur extra costs for materials already cut or edged.
4. Lead times
4.1 Our usual lead time from design approval to installation is approximately 2 to 6 weeks. This is an estimate, not a guarantee.
4.2 Lead times can be affected by material and hardware supply, custom finishes, site readiness, weather or other events outside our control. We will keep you informed of any delay.
5. Installation
5.1 Most wardrobe installations are completed in one day. Larger walk-in robes or complex projects may take longer.
5.2 Please make sure that on installation day:
- the robe recess or room is clear of furniture, clothing and belongings
- our installers have safe, clear access, including parking, lifts and any strata or building access approvals
- flooring, painting, plastering and electrical work in the area is complete, unless we have agreed otherwise
- an adult is present to give access and sign off on completion.
5.3 We can work with uneven or out-of-square walls, sloped or raked ceilings and floor-to-ceiling designs. We will scribe and adjust panels to suit, as discussed at the measure and quote.
5.4 If installation cannot go ahead because the site is not ready or access is not available, a return visit fee may apply.
5.5 We take care to avoid damage. Please tell us about hidden pipes, cables or other services in the walls or floor where we will fix the wardrobe. We are not responsible for damage to services we were not told about and could not reasonably detect.
5.6 Removal and disposal of existing wardrobes is not included unless stated in your quote, and can be quoted separately.
6. Customer-supplied hardware
6.1 You may supply your own handles, drawer runners or other hardware. We will install it as provided.
6.2 Our warranty covers our workmanship in installing customer-supplied hardware, but not the hardware itself. Any defect in that hardware is a matter for its supplier or manufacturer.
7. Cancellation
7.1 You may cancel before manufacturing starts. We will refund your deposit, less any reasonable costs already incurred, such as design time and materials ordered for your project.
7.2 Custom wardrobes are made to measure for your space. If you cancel after manufacturing has started, you are liable for costs incurred up to the date of cancellation, which may be up to the full contract price.
7.3 Nothing in this clause limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
8. Warranty
8.1 We provide a 10-year warranty on our workmanship and wardrobe components supplied by us, from the date of installation.
8.2 The warranty does not cover:
- fair wear and tear
- damage from misuse, overloading, impact or moisture
- alterations or repairs made by anyone other than Sultan’s Wardrobes
- customer-supplied hardware or materials
- minor natural variations in colour, grain or texture between samples and finished panels.
8.3 To make a warranty claim, contact us at info@sultanswardrobes.com.au or 0420 588 588 with your name, address, installation date and a description and photos of the issue. We will arrange an inspection, then repair or replace the defective item at no cost to you if the claim is covered. You are responsible for your own costs of making a claim, unless the Australian Consumer Law provides otherwise.
8.4 Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
8.5 The benefits of this warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies you have under the law.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, including the Australian Consumer Law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from our services. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee or right that cannot be excluded by law.
10. Use of our website
10.1 Content on this website, including text, photos of completed wardrobes and designs, belongs to Sultan’s Wardrobes and may not be copied without our permission.
10.2 We aim to keep website information accurate and current, but images, finishes and prices are indicative only. Your written quote sets out the details of your project.
10.3 Our website may link to other sites. We are not responsible for their content.
10.4 We may use photos of completed wardrobes in our portfolio and marketing. We will never show your address or identifying details, and you can ask us not to photograph your project.
11. Privacy
We handle your personal information in line with our Privacy Policy.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
